Sun Ra - In Some Far Place: Roma 1977

Possibly my favorite Sun Ra release, exemplifying his mastery of traditional blues forms and the far out seeker sound he was becoming ordained the master of. 1977 finds him fresh off the groundbreaking Montreux set and a tour of west Africa. Interestingly released on Paul Bley’s Improvising Artists label, oft mentioned in this collection.
